Hungry Cat Redux
Have you ever done something silly, like try to drink your way through the entire Hungry Cat cocktails menu in one night?
I tried... once upon a time... and then I forgot to write about it. Most of these drinks aren't even on the menu anymore, but the Blood Orange Negroni (far left... R.I.P.) was particularly good. The other ones involved limes, mint leaves, lemon slices, and, yeah, I'm cheating. I don't remember.
While the food is still up for debate, the drinks rule. Old school, hand squeezed, not afraid to give you a bite of bitters when you're least expecting it. Cheers to H.C. for still keeping a little sophistication in a land of lycheetinis.

I rike you Colleen Cuisine! Let's hang out soooooon!
See, that's how you know the drinks kicked ass. If they weren't good, you wouldn't have finished them, and you would then have remembered them. So the moral of the story is... umm...

I'm really fond of H.C. drinks as well - but it's always hard going there on an impulse (i.e. without reservations) 'cause they're always packed!
i want all four and a lobster roll - stat!
Jeni - I miss you! I talked to D about the four of us doing something next Friday... hopefully that'll work out.
chubbypanda - you pose an excellent theorem. hmmm... maybe I'll have to dedicate a post or two to proving it.
h.c. - yes, it's hard to get a table on short notice. we actually sat in the outdoor patio corrale... I call it the "kid's table" (except you can only drink over there, so it's more like the misbehaved adults table)
BG - anytime! we've got a totally new cocktails menu to work through
Hi Colleen! - I just found you through Cooking with Amy - very cool! I made some blackberry mint margaritas (and posted about them) with a recipe from the Hungry Cat -needless to say, they were fantastic. I am dying to try the restaurant sometime. I'll be checking back in!
