Restaurant Reviews, Gourmet Recipes & Food Ramblings
No, I'm not DEAD! I ate at the new Jollibee's and lived to tell my tale!
Where have I been? Well, there was the whole food poisoning thing. Then my laptop broke. Then I got an $8000 bill from the IRS (egads!!! still recouping from that news).
More about my Jollibee experience to come...

What the heck is a Jollibee?
And I hate the IRS. Good thing I got a small refund this year. ;P Hope you and your laptop are doing better.
I didn't know the US Mint made $8000 bills. Man, you lucked out! My refund was eensy-weensy compared to that! Dinner's on you!
OOOhhh...Jollibee...The McDonald's of the Philippines! Can't wait to hear what you think of it.
Personally, if I'm going to have fast food, then it might as well be ethnic fast food, and Jollibee fits the bill.
Chicken Joy! Pancit Palabok! Yeah, that's about all I tried there...but it's all good.
I hope you didn't get your food poisoining from there.
Welcome back, CC.
Bola, i think it's a filipino fast food joint.
$8,000 bill??? *faint*
Try not to eat anything 'unchartered' on the food map. We have a meetup sometime this month. haha.
I feel you on the IRS......I'm in for more than that, BOOOO! It kills me that after a year of hard work, we have to write a big fat check. :(
Anyway, where is this new location? I've heard great things about their stuff.
Bola - thanks! I get my laptop back tomorrow. I'm certainly having separation anxiety.
Eddie - I hate you. Just kidding. It would be funny if it were so... NOT funny.
Elmomonster - sadly, I did not have the Jollibee experience that you had. I really wanted to like it, but it was just kinda yuck.
EDnBM - I'm loving your Japan posts!
Toykoastrogirl - BOOO! indeed. I couldn't even imagine having to pay more than $8K - so sorry! Unfortunately, mine wasn't even freelance - I just messed up my W2 deductions so it was totally unexpected. This Jollibee's was on Beverly (way way East, East of Koreatown). I don't have the exact address though...
Dang $8000???
Ok..Im not gonna complain about my refund anymore. I'm sorry mama. I'll treat you to Pinkberry...will that make you feel better? :)
Yes Jeni, Pinkberry always makes me feel better. I had some yesterday, in fact. By the way, what it UP with the lines? That place has gotten crazy crowded. Just think, I could've bought 1600 Pinkberrys with all that money I'm sending to the IRS. Boo! =(
