Pinkberry Swirl is Official

Like I said back in September, it was only a matter of time before Pinkberry finally figured out that they could make money by sticking the original and green tea flavors together and calling it a "special menu item." I mean, rather than telling people "No, no you can't have the two flavors together because we don't know what to charge you for it and it's not on the menu anyways. Nee-ner-nee-ner-neeeee-ner."

However, I am a bit mystified that this will only happen until February 14th (small print: offer valid until Feb 14th, Valentine's Day).

What happens after that? Does green tea decide he's too good for plain and dump her a** for Captain Crunch?

  6. I tried Fiore in Little Tokyo (or is it IF, whatever) and they gave me a sour/green tea swirl with no trouble...it was pretty darn good, I kept having to taste one and then the other to decide which I preferred. Before I knew it, it was practically gone.

  7. This post enticed me to have Pinkberry for lunch today, simply for the swirl. How dissapointed was I to find out the swirl comes in it's own HUGE 10oz size for $6, with each topping at an additional charge. How annoying! Why does it need it's own special size and special price? Pinkberry is practically a gimmick now.

  10. i think the pinkberry backlash has started to kick in a bit. maybe it's their no cameras policy that is consistently irritating. maybe it's the guy from yoku yoku, an ex-pb employee who told us the mix they use that anyone can order. maybe it's that i've noticed an inconsistency between different PBs (sawtelle-good, ktown-too insubstantial). and also maybe it's cuz if/fiore serves blackberry yogurt now!

btw, although it doesn't name colleen specifically, there is mention of the amount of attention pb has received in los angeles blogs...and the author managed to misspell the handle of everyone's favorite villain ("yogurtfanatik") both times it appears in the article :)
